what’s the thing you only do when nobody’s home?
there's a version of you that only appears when the door closes and no one else is in the house. that version is probably more honest than the one everybody knows.
every day there's one live question, the same for everyone. answer it anonymously, see what other people said. it's all gone in seven days.
answer today's question →write about what you do. sing badly, talk to yourself, eat something strange, dance, cry, lie on the floor, walk around in your pants. whatever it is, put it on the page without making it cute. then ask yourself why this needs to be private. is it embarrassing, is it vulnerable, is it just too yours to share. write about how it feels in the moment, whether it's joy or release or comfort or something you don't have a word for. then write about what it would mean if someone saw you. what would change, and what does that tell you about what you're hiding.
- describe the whole scene, what you do, where in the house, what time of day.
- write about whether this private habit is something you enjoy or something you need.
- ask yourself what it would take to do this in front of someone you trust.
this is for you if the person you are when you're alone is someone you quite like but rarely let out.
